About
History
Originally organized and chartered on March 1, 1940 to financially serve the sworn members of the Waterbury Police Department and their immediate family members. Throughout the years the Waterbury Police Federal Credit Union has expanded its membership and its financial services. On August 25, 1989, our charter was amended to include employees of the Wolcott Police Department and their immediate family members. On December 9, 1993, our charter was again amended to include employees of the Naugatuck Police Department and their immediate family members. Once again, on November 3, 1994, our charter was amended to include employees of the Town of Wolcott Highway Department and their immediate family members.
Presently, the Waterbury Police Federal Credit Union serves over 1,400 members and we continue to grow and meet the financial needs of the membership.
